Minsk District is known for the Praleska sanatorium. It is surrounded on all sides by pine forest; the Minsk Sea is just five hundred metres away and the Krinitsa Reservoir three hundred. The grounds are rich in pines and other conifers. Following certification it was awarded the first category. Praleska was founded in 1991; it is a fairly young sanatorium that welcomes thousands of guests every year. It has 280 beds. Children aged three and over are accepted as main guests and can receive treatment from that age. Check-in is at any convenient time from 8 am on the first day of the voucher, and check-out is by 8 pm on the last day. The grounds cover more than eight hectares and are fenced. It is a wonderful place for families. There are two residential buildings, one of eight storeys with lifts and connecting passages and one of two storeys with a passage, a treatment building and a sauna.
