Lyottsy
The Lyottsy sanatorium is 13 km from Vitebsk, 85 km from Polotsk and 275 km from Minsk. It opened in 1936 and now holds the first category. It has 450 beds, five residential buildings, an administrative building, a hydrotherapy centre, a canteen and a palace of culture.
The Lyottsy health resort in Vitebsk District is famous throughout the country. This beautiful sanatorium stands in a coniferous forest right on the shore of Lake Shevino, just fifty metres from the main building. The grounds are rich in pines and spruces. Lyottsy is fairly old, almost eighty years. Following certification it was awarded the first category. More than five hundred beds are ready for guests, who can arrive at any convenient time from 8 am on the first day and check out by 8 pm on the last day. A standard stay lasts twelve days. Children aged three and over are accepted as main guests and can receive treatment from three. The grounds cover almost forty hectares and are fenced and guarded.
