The Gorodishche National Scientific and Practical Centre for Medical Assessment and Rehabilitation was founded in 1992. It has 110 beds.
The Gorodishche centre has a small artificial lake on its grounds, and a natural lake is very close by. The grounds cover more than seventeen hectares and are covered with spruces, birches, poplars and maples. Gorodishche, the national centre for medical assessment and rehabilitation, accepts people for treatment, health improvement and post-operative rehabilitation. It helps patients with cancer and with endocrine and digestive diseases. The centre opened more than twenty years ago. It has more than one hundred beds; guests check in from 8 am and check out by 7 pm. A standard course of treatment and rehabilitation lasts twelve days. Only guests aged eighteen and over are accepted. The grounds are guarded around the clock and fenced on all sides. The centre is 17 km from Minsk.
