Picnic Park

Belarus has always been famous for its many cosy, quiet places where you can escape the bustle of city noise and enjoy incredibly beautiful landscapes and the cleanest air. Leaves rustling in the wind, babbling cool streams, birdsong and a chance to touch unspoilt nature are all an essential part of a holiday in Belarus.

One of these places is the Picnic Park holiday resort, in the north-west of the country near Vitebsk, a city that is itself an interesting destination with an ancient history and a rich cultural heritage. The resort covers 3.5 hectares and offers guests a wide range of unusual pastimes.

Besides a hunter's and angler's lodge with a sauna and guest cabins with stylish, comfortable rooms that, importantly, have Wi-Fi, there is also a mini-farm with guinea fowl, cute Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, turkeys and other animals. For those who prefer active holidays in Belarus, Picnic Park offers volleyball and football on a proper pitch, table tennis, a trampoline, sports equipment, catamarans and kayaks. In winter, sledging, skating and sliding on ice saucers will bring back childhood memories.

Those who prefer quiet leisure will appreciate:

• board games and books
• beach loungers
• everything for fishing.

For a great family holiday the resort has playgrounds, bicycles and horse riding. Picnic Park is also perfect for fun groups, as there are discos in the evenings. All guests can use the gazebos, barbecues, firewood and sports equipment free of charge. Corporate events, weddings, anniversaries and other celebrations can be held in the banquet hall. Room bookings come with discounts of 5 to 15%.

The resort is conveniently located: it is easy to reach by car (17 km from the city) or by bus. Take the Vitebsk–Gorodok bus from Vitebsk bus station to the Borovlyany stop.
