Ozernaya

At any time of year, be it golden autumn, hot summer, frosty winter or long-awaited spring, a holiday in nature has always been the best way to spend your time. Far from stuffy, crowded cities, deep in a forest full of healing air, or among endless fields and the calm water of blue lakes, you can fully experience what a country holiday in Belarus is.

Belarus is known as the land of lakes, so it is no surprise that lovers of a quiet holiday by the water are so keen to come here. Many Belarusian sanatoriums offer guests beautiful water views, but the Ozernaya holiday resort boasts a relaxed atmosphere and homely comfort.

This holiday and hunting resort is 32 km from Vitebsk, the regional centre in the north-west of the country, near the village of Prudniki. Guests who have booked rooms and travel from Vitebsk get a free transfer from the city, which certainly sets Ozernaya apart. One of the main attractions of the area is Lake Bolshoye Losvido, famous throughout the country for its beauty.

The resort stands right on the shore of the picturesque Lake Losvido, and guests stay in five cabins and a chalet. All rooms, including the honeymoon suite, have a fridge, a hairdryer and an iron, and some also have air conditioning, a shower, a microwave and other modern conveniences. For active guests the resort offers:

• paintball, tennis and billiards
• jet ski and quad bike rides
• fishing, boat and catamaran rental
• children's parties and other celebrations

Barbecues are free for guests; firewood, charcoal and lighter fluid can be bought on site.

Ozernaya also has two bathhouses, a large and a small one (for 5 and 10 people), and a mini café with bright, comfortable sofas, a modern TV and festively decorated banquet halls. For time outdoors there is a glazed gazebo for 80 people where you can warm up by the fireplace, and open gazebos of various sizes (for 8, 16 and 25 people).
