Tadosi

Polesie is a land of primeval forests and unique wetlands in the south of Belarus. It is known not only to Belarusians but also to people in other countries, largely thanks to the song "The Girl from Polesie" by the band Syabry (with its famous line "In Belarusian Polesie lives Alesya, the enchantress of the forest").

These places are rightly called "the lungs of Europe", because Belarusian Polesie is the largest forest and wetland complex on the whole continent. Polesie was mentioned as early as 1274 in the Galician-Volhynian Chronicle. Rare species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book live here. The local indigenous people, the Poleshuks, have their own customs, traditions and dialect.

The Tadosi agro-estate is located in the agro-town of Lyaskovichi in Petrikov District, in the south-west of Gomel Region. The ancient and majestic Pripyat River flows here: a right tributary of the Dnieper, 775 km long. In spring the Pripyat spreads 15 to 20 km wide and floods the riverside oak forests, forming thousands of islands. At this time the Pripyat area is especially beautiful and enchanting in its unique way.

Tadosi is worth visiting if only to feel the full power and beauty of the local nature: the estate is located in the very heart of Pripyatsky National Park, amid the expanses of Pripyat Polesie.

Services offered by Tadosi include:

· boat and fishing tackle rental;

· local excursions and eco-tours along various routes;

· during the hunting season, hunting for elk, roe deer, red deer and wild boar.

Tadosi's victory in the "Best Start 2013" category of a prestigious competition for the best agro-estate speaks for itself. The hosts offer 10 comfortable double rooms with air conditioning and three meals a day of original Belarusian dishes. There is a separate kitchen. Children have their own playroom where they will find something they enjoy. Parking on the estate is free.
